She is an award-winning journalist based in North-east India. Her work in journalism spans through India Today, Telegraph and Tehelka before she decided to put in all her resources into launching Thumbprint magazine that she edits currently. A recipient of the WASH Media Awards 2009-2010, Teresa also won the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award for two consecutive years 2008-09 and 2009-10 for her reporting on Jammu & Kashmir and North-East. Her other awards include Laadli Media Award for Gender Sensitivity 2011, Sanskriti Award 2009 for Excellence in Journalism and Seventh Sarojini Naidu Prize 2007 for Best Reporting on Panchayati Raj by Hunger Project. She was featured in the ‘Power List’ of Femina magazine.
She has written a clutch of books – The Mothers of Manipur (Zubaan Books) and Bulletproof (Penguin Random House India) among them. She is a member of the Editors Guild of India.
