Grew up in Assam, Shehnab Sahin’s career spans across academia, Indian Civil Services and development/humanitarian field. She is currently Regional Director of Italian NGO ‘COSV’ for Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, working at the intersection of humanitarian aid and development cooperation. She has spent the past 2.5 years in Syria as Head of Mission. She also worked with the Indian Government as a senior civil servant wherein she administered several flagship programmes on social welfare, health and education.
