Robin S. Ngangom is a bilingual poet and translator who writes in English and Manipuri. His poems have appeared in The New Statesman, Verse, Kunapipi, Planet: the Welsh Internationalist, The Literary Review, The HarperCollins Book of English Poetry and The Penguin Book of Indian Poets. His first collection, Words and the Silence, was published in 1998 and his latest collection, My Invented Land (Speaking Tiger Books), in 2023. He was invited to the UK Year of Literature and Writing in 1995 and has read his poems at literary events in India and abroad. He has also co-edited two significant anthologies of poetry from Northeast India and translated a book of poems, The Smell of Man, by the Manipuri poet Thangjam Ibopishak.
