Pradipta Borgohain is a teacher of English, an author and translator. He won the Katha Award for Best Translation in Assamese in 1997. His translation The Collected Works of Homen Borgohain was longlisted for Atta Galatta award in 2017. He has authored the books – Rainbow Thoughts and Victorian Literature – and co-authored Scrolls of Strife: The Endless History of the Nagas. He has also written a novel in Assamese Amerikak Bisari, which was reprinted recently. He has contributed to the volume Alice in a World of Wonderlands: The Translations of Lewis Carroll’s Masterpiece. Most recently, his translations have appeared in The Greatest Assamese Stories Ever Told. He has been a regular columnist in leading newspapers in Assam. He teaches English in Gauhati University.
