Lucía Asué Mbomío Rubio is a journalist and writer known for her strong commitment to intersectional feminism, social justice, and anti-racism. With a career built across major media platforms and contemporary literature, she has become a key voice in Spain, consistently highlighting the narratives and lived experiences of Afro-descendant communities.
She holds a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, along with specialized training in Documentary Scriptwriting and Directing (Instituto del Cine de Madrid), a Master’s in Development and International Aid (UCM), a University Certificate in Diversity Management in Corporate Environments (Nebrija University), and a teaching certification (CAP) in music, after completing formal studies in music theory and intermediate piano.
As an author, she has published three standout works: Las que se atrevieron (2017), currently being adapted into a documentary; Hija del camino (2019), whose adaptation rights were acquired by Netflix; and Tierra de la Luz, a novel shedding light on the reality of women agricultural workers in Europe.
Her work amplifies voices that have been historically silenced, driving forward a more inclusive cultural and social narrative.
