Began as a sub-editor and reporter with Free Press Journal, a Mumbai-based newspaper, Jairam N Menon has donned many roles, including as an advertising copywriter, internal communicator, scriptwriter of documentary films, corporate brand builder, freelance journalist, consultant and an author. He joined Larsen & Toubro in 1977, and continued to be with the engineering and construction conglomerate, currently as a communication consultant. His articles have featured in The Times of India, The Indian Express, The Hindu and The Week On Line. His book Masala Chai for the Soul, a tongue-in-cheek guide to lasting happiness, is rated among the best in its category according in Amazon rankings.
