Ernis is a Cameroonian novelist and poet. In 2022, her first novel Comme une reine published by JC Lattès won the Voix d’Afriques prize with the partnership of Cité Internationale des Arts de Paris and Radio France Internationale. Ernis writes about memoir, tradition and transmission. Her poetry, which takes the form of slam, is a shared word about women, storytelling and the representation of the society from which she comes from. She hosts slam workshops in schools. Ernis runs Lire au Village, an association that works for quality education for all and creates libraries and reading time in villages across Cameroon.
