Manjari Chaturvedi is a classical Kathak dancer, creator of Sufi Kathak and restorer of the Dance of Tawaifs. She has performed in over 500 concerts in 32 countries in the past 25 years. Among the prestigious venues she has performed are: Sydney Opera House, Royal Festival Hall, Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament House. She has collaborated and performed with a wide range of international artistes such as Tim Ries, Ustad Shujaat Hussain Khan, Taufiq Quereshi, and Kailash Kher. Her Qawwali Project is one of the most successful music revival movements, giving voice to the practitioners. In her Courtesan Project, she dared to speak about the contribution of women, the tawaifs and baijis in the classical music and dance world. Sufi Kathak, created by her in 1998, integrated the Sufi concept with Kathak. Her other projects on classical dance forms are: Jugni Project, 22 Khwaja Project, Vrindavan Project, Rumi Project and Royal Gharana Series.
