Yaiphaba Kangjam

Yaiphaba Kangjam aka Yai is a heritage interpreter, battlefield guide, and writer from Manipur. He is the founder of Imphal Walks and Battle of Imphal Tours, which conducts World War II battlefield tours in Northeast India. His work has significantly contributed to promoting the region’s pivotal role in the Second World War, particularly the Battle of Imphal–Kohima. He is the author of Forgotten Voices of the Japan Laan: The Battle of Imphal and the Second World War in Manipur. His work in heritage interpretation was recognized with the Best Tour Guide award at Northeast India Tourism Awards 2025.
